| My sister and her husband came
to visit earlier this month. We took them to Yellowstone for a
couple days of camping and touring. The Montana/Wyoming weather
did not cooperate, and they were hailed on several times during their
stay. Nice July weather!
We started our trip with a drive through Grand Teton National Park and took a float trip down the Snake River. |

The weather came in as soon as
our float trip started, of course. It rained and hailed for the
entire first hour of our two hour trip - which was a shame because it
was a beautiful ride. We saw a good deal of wildlife, including
several bald eagles.
Leaf and John were really good sports about the weather the whole time and chalked it up to the "Montana Experience". We also went to see the Allman Brothers at Big Sky on the 4th of July...where it also hailed on us....HARD. In fact, the show was postponed for an hour before they came out to play. We waited it out and stayed for almost an hour of the show before we called it quits. We were soooo happy that Aunt Leaf and Uncle John could come visit us! Next time they'll have better weather...and a niece! |
