Mom's Visit to Montana
Home

My mom came to visit for a week and we took her to Yellowstone for a night.  We spent a couple days touring around the park.

It was the very end of the tourist season so the park was pretty empty.  We stayed right in the cabins at the Mammoth Terraces.

It's nice to be able to stay directly in the park because you get a good opportunity to see some of the wildlife up close.  We saw a lot of elk and bison - and even caught a fox in the field.  On our ride out of the park, we saw 2 moose - but they were too far away for a picture.

Obey the speed limits - you never know
what you'll find on the road!

We spent the first day at the Terraces and went down to the geysers and Grand Canyon of Yellowstone the next.
On to the next day......
