Trip to Missoula

Just a few pictures from our first little road trip with Kyla.  We took her for a consultation with a neurologist in Missoula last week.  This was to have an evaluation done on the dent in her head from the forceps delivery attempt.  Missoula is three hours from Bozeman so we figured we'd go up a day early and stay the night so she'd be fresh for her appointment.

I smashed my car this week and put in it the shop, so we took the truck.  It actually worked out for the best because she could see us instead of sitting in the backseat.  She slept for most of the drive anyway.

Swimming Attire?

 We had big plans for swimming at the hotel.  It was scheduled to be an early evening activity and then happen again early morning if all went well.  I never really took into account that like everything else in Montana - the indoor pool was freezing cold!  I wouldn't even put my foot in.  The temp was perfect in the hot tub and we wanted to take her in there, but there were all these signs up about how children must be 5 - so we didn't want to look like dirtbags.  We ended up just skimming her feet and letting her kick around.

She seemed to handle the trip very well.  There were a couple fussy moments, but that's nothing new.  She slept her usual hours at the hotel and got a couple little naps in.  The appointment went well and the doctor confirmed that we have nothing to be concerned about with her dent.  It can sometimes take up to 1 year for them to pop out.  We can barely see it now anyway, but it was still good to hear that everything was ok.
