Daddy is still away and this kid is still saying "dada, dada, dada" all the time.  I fear "mama" might be gone for good!  I've got a picture of daddy out so maybe that's egging her on.
 

Because our breakfasts during the week are so rushed, I've been trying to make a big deal of them on the weekends.  This means adding a drizzle of syrup or a sausage to the mix. Living it up!  She likes these little treats - and it's of course, very messy.  No matter how much you clean her up, she spends the rest of the day with spiky, syrup hair!

Other food related things this week...her favorite meal was this peas, corn and turkey dog mix.  For some reason, it hit the spot every time.

We're still working with the open cups.  She likes them a lot, but also likes to put her hands in them.

Puffs and Fruit Snacks!

 She "helped" me put away the groceries the other day.  That is, she dug through all the bags until she found what she wanted.  They were presented to me for her snack - puffs, of course!

At daycare this week, she took naps on the mat with the two year olds!  (As you may remember from previous pages, she doesn't nap at daycare at all.)  This week, she decided to march right up to the nap loft with the other kids.  She curled up on a mat and was fast asleep!  I woke her when I picked her up - it was really cute to see.

She's been doing "mat" behavior at home for a month now and we wondered if she saw it at daycare.  She makes her own "mat" at home with whatever she finds.  Below, she had me help her lay this blanket as her makeshift "mat".


 

I've been trying to work with Kyla to try blowing her own nose.  She hasn't been real into it - but we did have some success the other afternoon with a wet wipe.

I tried to take some pictures of these attempts, but needless to say - they were all pretty gross.  This one was as tame as it got - and it was taken after mommy did some cleanup:)
