Kyla at 12 Weeks
Home

Can you believe our little baby is already 3 months old???

We've noticed a lot of changes.  Most notably, she's started teething already.  Chewing on everything she can get to her mouth - which is only really her hands and my fingers at this point.  We're working to get her on teething rings fast!  Our next doctor's appt isn't until the end of December, but from what we can estimate at home - she is at 12 pounds now.

Unfortunately, Kyla gave up her naps at about 7 weeks.  I miss them!!!!  She will take one (maybe) 40 minute nap a day and a couple of crappy 20 minute naps.  I refuse to give up her naps completely and try every day to get her down.  She will sleep great for a nap on my shoulder - but that's not my idea of a good nap:)  Her lack of naps makes for a cranky bedtime...but once she goes down, she stays down.  She has been sleeping from 7pm to 7am with two feedings during that span.

Kyla and New Best Friend

She's starting to enjoy her toys and the cats more.  Not quite "playing" with them...but enjoying the way they look.

Her new favorite toy is from Mimi.  It's "Elmo with Blankie".  She loves his face and the colors and figures in his blanket.  She always has a smile for Elmo and has just recently started reaching out to touch his face.  No matter how cranky she is - she will always stop crying to look at him.  We believe Elmo  will be the first to get a laugh out of her!
