She's finally given this little bag thing a chance. It's only taken 6 months! It's a mesh bag that holds solids so they can self-feed without choking. Until this day, she wouldn't touch it. I tried it with a bit of frozen banana and she loved it. Of course, she hasn't touched it again since I took these pictures. |
We didn't really realize how
much Kyla had grown until she came back into her environment. Her
reach has stretched, so we've had to make some modifications to our living
areas. Baby gates are up now, as are alternate routes for the
cats.
We're getting a little better with solids. When playing, Kyla will put everything she finds in her mouth - cat hair, carpet fuzz, leaves, whatever! But, if you actually *feed* her something, she closes her lips tight! She loves those fruit and veggie puffs and still likes the orange vegetables and bananas best. Nothing apple at all! These shots are of her trying watermelon.

Daddy has been able to spend a lot of time with Kyla and is amazed at how much she's changed in such a short time. He's been breaking in the backpack with walks everyday. . Here are some shots of them on their way out. | ||
