Well, my baby turned 6....I can't believe it!   She wanted a party this year at karate, so we invited her school and had it the week before so as to not conflict with Labor Day.  We had a great turnout....about 22 kids were there!

Kyla was inspired this year by a local news story where a little girl gave her birthday gifts to the animal shelter...so she did the same.  We asked her guests to bring a shelter donation instead of a gift and collected about 4 boxes of supplies for CAAWS which we dropped off the next day.  We were so proud of her!  She did qualify it by saying that her parents and grandparents could still get her gifts...so don't feel like she missed out on anything:)

The rest of these pictures are from her actual birthday.  She passed out Tootsie Pops to the class and got to wear the Birthday crown.  We opened gifts from her grandparents, cousins and us that evening.
