Christmas Preparations
Home

We got the tree up in early December this year.  Kyla was very particular hanging ornaments this year, each was in its place for a certain reason....some were brothers and sisters, some were friends.  She had a story for them all.  Her favorites were the snowmen, which she hung together.  Mine will always be this "angel" picture taken at her preschool.  Her teacher took pictures of the kids taking naps but because Kyla was half-day, she had to fake it.  I love the look of her fake sleeping face!

I really don't have many decorations accumulated yet so we end up decorating with mostly those we make.  Here are some shots from the snowflakes we threw together one afternoon with some leftover supplies.....and yes, she is wearing a dance leotard and no, she doesn't take dance lessons.  She just likes to wear it!

We made two kinds of cookies this year, Chocolate Chip Macaroons and Chocolate Mint Snowballs.  Both were very easy, and good....so much so that we ate every one and never gave a single cookie away!

Kyla had a program at her school, but they also participated in the French Creole Christmas Celebration at Magnolia Mound Plantation.  Kyla is in the front row in this picture.  Brent took some video which I will post a bit later, so check back!
