| Trip to
Tickfaw State Park Home Kyla's spring break was the week before Easter and Brent's was the following week, so we knew a big trip wouldn't happen. We instead planned a quick mid-week trip to Tickfaw State Park and rented a few nights at the cabins. The Galvez family was able to join us and had the cabin right next door. We thought this would be a good chance to get Kyla out in the canoe. It was a great day for it, warm and not too buggy. Kyla did great and was really into everything.

The Galvez group couldn't go
canoeing because of their youngest but we linked up with them afterwards
at the splash park. The campground has a nice little area for
cooling down. We walked one of the boardwalks after that.

| The big attraction back at
the cabins was the fire every night. The kids braved the smoke to
fearlessly poke it with sticks until bedtime! This last shot is of
the bayou out back.
