| October Pictures Home Here are a few pictures of our activities over the month. I will first start out with a lemon tree update. All 6 lemons are now officially yellow! I think they need to ripen on the tree a bit longer, but we're close to harvest now. Brent says he plans to use them all himself for one big glass of lemonade!J Kyla is writing her name now. At school, they learn to do it with mixed case but for the most part, she writes and practices her letters in upper case. She has a few write-on/wipe-off books that she likes to use, as well as her big board. She's still doing a lot of coloring/drawing and putting together her little books. |

I continue to cook with her, and she still will rarely touch anything we make...including cookies or sweets! She does enjoy cooking and baking with me, though, and it always leads to some good times so I'd say there is benefit to it. In doing this, I've gotten quite a lot of experience cooking with a roll of biscuits or crescent rolls. We usually use them to make little cups but this time, we made Halloween garlic bread cutouts. The pictures below are her helping me make banana applesauce bread, which she said smelled "delicious" while baking but declared was "yucky" when tasted. |

| These last shots are of her playing with Leapfrog Tag. We've only tried it with two books so far but are pretty impressed by this thing already. It's really cool, and it keeps her interest which is a nice bonus. | |
