I've gotten myself into quite a backlog of pictures these days.....so I've decided the best way to deal with them is to do our most recent trip first and build momentum to get them all up!

I was off Friday for the 4th, so we spent Thursday night in New Orleans. We hadn't been to the Audubon Insectarium yet so that was a big part of the plan.  Some good seafood and a few frozen drinks for us was also part of the plan!

We got in Thursday night and after running out for dinner, it was off to the hotel pool.  Kyla loves to swim and is doing really well, even though I haven't gotten her to lessons yet.  She usually uses floaties but we forgot to pack them so she swam without and still showed no fear.  Her daddy played lifeguard as she paddled along.

I posted a few small videos to Picasa HERE.  The first one is a big jump.  The other is one of her solo swims, but I only caught the tail end.

The butterfly room was her big attraction.  We read that if you're quiet and still, one might even land on you...which sounded pretty exciting to her.

It's a really nice setup and there were hundreds of butterflies.  She tried to get their attention, but ultimately, they chose daddy for their landing ground.  He had one land on his back, and it stayed with him until it was removed when we left.
