Shots.... Home So far, 3 is a really fun age! Miss Kyla has been into all sorts of new activities and games. Her imagination has really taken off. She likes to pretend ("tend") and make up little stories. Many times, the stories include her school friends. She will also lead you on an adventure and loves to have you play these out with her. Her favorite scenarios include her being a "super hero". She uses her super powers and strength to save an animal or a baby. She also likes to hunt for "treasure". This involves drawing a map and looking for an item which she's hidden in the furniture. She enjoys playing dress-up and will put together outrageous outfits. So far, this hasn't extended into her school outfits...but that might not be too far off! We've introduced her to a few games. Memory is a bit too hard at this point, so we play with a limited set of cards. Candy Land has been easier for her to pick up. I want to try Cootie with her next! |

Kyla loves riding her bike. These are shots of her zooming around the patio through an obstacle course of chairs. "Red Light, Green Light" is a highly requested game....although she likes to dictate when the "lights" change, so she probably could just play by herself!

| It's been fun to involve Kyla in the kitchen. This kitchen has plenty of workspace, so I can set her up and not worry about her getting too close to the stove or anything hot/dangerous. We make cookies and muffins. She will also help me prepare meals and snacks. | |

| She has her new activities,
but the old interests are still there. She's always up for a book or
two and will sometimes try to "read" them aloud to you by relating the
story in her own words.
Puzzles are also still a favorite at home and at school. She has her board puzzles down and is starting to work more independently on floor puzzles. We also do a lot of painting and coloring, and she loves the dry erase board. She's big into drawing circles right now. |
