The Baton Rouge Zoo does "Boo at the Zoo" the last two weekends of the month.  I took Kyla on Saturday.  She is going to be a lion for Halloween, but I thought it might be too hot for it during the day and threw together this black kitty cat costume instead.  She loved it and esp. loved her whiskers.  The ears kept falling off, so I only made her wear them for pictures.

They decorate the zoo, and I had her pose next to almost everything.  She also got her picture taken with a chinchilla, although the picture was very small and not worth scanning to post here.  Sponsors set up "trick or treating" booths and gave candy to the kids.  I told her she couldn't eat hers until we got home so after an hour or so, she was asking to leave.  We hit the train and took off.  She was crunching candy at home by noon!
