| Trip to Prince Edward
Island Home We made a trip to Prince Edward Island for Kyla to meet her Great-Grammie and the rest of the Matheson family. It was only a quick trip, but we got a lot of visiting in and had a great trip. I took a bunch of pictures, so I'll split each day into three pages. The trip up was long, three flights, but at the end of it all, we were surprised at the airport by a greeting from the WHOLE family! We took Kyla straight to her Great-Grammie's house for a visit before settling down for the night. She was excited and overwhelmed, so she only got a few hours sleep that night. Because of this, I thought she might have been too tired to do much on Thursday...but she hit the ground running. We visited with Great-Grammie again that morning and then headed out to visit her cousins. Laura (Brent's cousin) and Jeremy have Grace (5) and Gavin (2). We stopped at their house for lunch and to play before heading to the beach. |

On this first day, we went
to one of the south beaches. As soon as we got there, Kyla took
off running for the water. The surf was not strong and not too
deep, so she was able to jump right in. The kids spent most of their
time digging and building in the sand.

Gavin had a lot of fun building with Brent. He would instruct him to pile up the tower and then bust it right down with his shovel.

| After the
beach, we finished off the day with a big lobster supper at Great-Grammie's
house. Kyla (who wouldn't touch the lobster) asked to go to bed
shortly after dinner. She was beat and got a good night's rest for
her next day's activities. On to the next day..... |
