Pensacola Beach in February
Home

We spent a long weekend at Pensacola Beach.  Brent was giving a talk, so we tagged along and invited Sharon to join us for a visit from Pittsburgh.  It was a blast!

This was our first visit there.  The weather could have been more cooperative.  We had lots of fog Thursday night and watched it roll into the balcony that night which was pretty cool.  It rained on and off on Friday.  I took her down to play in the sand early Friday morning before the rain started.  The water was COLD, but she couldn't stay away from it.  I kept her to just dipping her feet, though.

Sharon and I took her to Quietwater Beach on the Santa Rosa Sound side of the island for lunch and a walk on the boardwalk.  We saw a jellyfish and a turtle way out in the water and many birds stopping by for a bite.  She managed to get in for a dip here, too.  It also was very cold!

We went out for an awesome dinner to Peg Leg Pete's that night and chowed on seafood.  I swear, nothing compares to Gulf Shrimp!!!  Yum!!!  Kyla even picked fish (Grouper) nuggets over chicken which shocked us all.
