Getting Ready for Christmas
Home

I've got some pictures piling up from our pre-Christmas activities.  These first are from the Festival of Lights held in downtown Baton Rouge. It was the last Friday in November.  Kyla and I went down early and met up with a few of our friends.

We went last year, and it was very cold.  This year, it was so warm that we carried our coats.  The parade was super lame this year, though.  There were only two floats, and Santa wasn't even riding on his.  He was down by the tree, however, so she did get a chance to talk to him.  He asked her if she was a good girl and what she wanted for Christmas.  She told him that she wanted a Christmas tree.

That seemed like a good weekend to break out our decorations and get the house ready for Santa and daddy's return.  I tossed around the idea of getting a real one, but eventually decided to get another year out of our fiber optic tabletop model.  Mimi bought a bright pink one for Kyla's room which was already up.

Noisy, noisy, noisy bells
