A Night in the French Quarter
Home

We decided to take a little trip to New Orleans and spent a night this weekend in the French Quarter.  It's only an hour away, the weather was beautiful and we always have fun there, so we couldn't think of a reason not to go!

Wound up and ready to roll!

The Christners

Our first stop was walking the Moonwalk along the Mississippi.  We, of course, picked up a Hurricane along the way.  It was warm, mid-high 70s, but we did hit a few rain showers.  She loves playing in the rain so having to put on a raincoat was ok by her!

We headed to the French Market from there and split a muffaletta at the Gumbo Cafe.   This next picture is my favorite, not because I look matronly in it....but because while Brent was taking it, his fly was completely down and gaping totally wide open.  I called him out on it as soon as he shot this and we couldn't stop laughing, nor could the other patrons.  Seriously, I'm still laughing about it....

Another thing I will point out is that it is difficult to hold a drink and steer a stroller.  At one point, we each were holding one handle and trying to split the steering responsibilities but it didn't work.

We walked the streets and hung out in Jackson Square before catching an evening carriage ride.  She was excited for the ride and kept asking for one but was mostly jumping all around while on it.  We finished up the night with a big dinner at Deanie's.
