Our First Family Camping Trip - page 2

As predicted, my little camper was the first to rise.  She made it to 7am but after that, she was up and wanted out of that tent.  We woke up daddy to get a fire going for us.  It was chilly and there was also a need for coffee!

Once we all got moving, we packed up and decided to check out one of the trails before heading home.  Tickfaw has a few boardwalked trails which are nice for taking the little ones around....we were able to look at the swampy areas without actually dragging the whole troop through them.  There weren't any alligators out, but we saw a lot of lizards sunning themselves.

Cheese!

These are a few of my swampy shots.  In some places, the water was so still that it was hard to tell the trees from their reflections. We caught a snake flying through the water and saw some fish, too.
I think we all agreed that this was a great first camping experience.  We're anxious to give it another try and plan to do a full weekend trip the next time!
