April Shots

I had some misc pictures, so I thought I'd post a few and update on what Kyla is doing these days.

For the most part, she has no trouble amusing herself and can be very creative. Here she is throwing a picnic for her stuffed animals. We were all served various plastic foods, although I was repeatedly told "no, don't eat yet!"

Setting up her picnic

I took these one day when I came upon her playing in her room with her plastic bug collection.  She had them all sorted and piled on her table and then moved them to the net.

Showing off her artwork!

I'll probably post more pictures when we finish, but she and I have been working to decorate her room.  This little "mural" project was our latest addition. Kyla picked out the color and Mommy painted the frame.  We "hung" our flower stickers together. So far, her walls are a light grayish purple (think "Boots the Monkey") and this pink is our accent.

Superharp on stage

There always seems to be something going on over the weekends down here and we try to take advantage of that when we can.  We caught James Cotton at the last "Sunday at the Park" downtown.  It was a great time and the rain held off until the last half hour.  Kyla was actually not feeling very well, but she and Dylan still played and kept themselves busy coloring and playing with dinosaurs.

One of my little lemons!

Our weather has been beautiful, and we try to get out in it as much as we can.  Kyla helps me water our planters every day.  This is a muddy shot of her after she went a little crazy with the water. She turned her water table into a mud pit.

When we moved here, I had my heart set on a lemon tree...so this year I got one!  Here's a shot of it's progress so far.  There are about 8 little lemons on it.  I'm not sure they'll fully ripen or how this process works yet, but I can't wait to see!!!
