New Orleans with the Provans
Home

We spent the first weekend of November in New Orleans with the Provan family.  It was a fun weekend and a great way for us to meet Amy and Dan's daughter, Allie Bryn.  She's 6 months old and just a little doll!

We stayed at the Olivier House Hotel.  This was the perfect place for us.  We had plenty of room  for all our baby/toddler gear and a comfortable courtyard just outside our door.  It was only a block off Bourbon Street  - so when the little ones went to bed early, the boys could easily run out and cart back dinners and big frozen drinks!

It was a beautiful weekend for walking around the French Quarter.  We had beignets and Cafe Au Lait at Cafe Du Monde in the French Market and sat along the Mississippi River.  Kyla was running around everywhere after the birds.

While we were out, Allie took little catnaps in her carrier but Kyla didn't want much to do with the stroller.  She wanted to walk and spent much of the time holding hands with her daddy or riding on his neck.  She finally did crash Saturday afternoon.  We rolled her down Bourbon Street and past a funeral procession, both of which were very loud - and she didn't even stir.

We set up a little play area in the room.  These are shots of Kyla coloring with Amy....although she spent most of her leisure time with her nanny, Dora the Explorer!  The last shots are of Kyla introducing Allie to her DVD friends.  They were so cute laying there together!
