Easter Egg Hunt
Home

We took Kyla to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Perkins Road Park on Saturday, 3/24.  The 0-3 group was first. It was held on the football field.  Only one parent was allowed on the field so Daddy watched us from the stands and took pictures.  There were plastic eggs, some filled with treats, and then some wrapped chocolate eggs.

After the hunt, we linked up with Matty Chelf and his family who are in town visiting with relatives.  Matt and Holly have three little girls, twins aged 3.5 and a one at 20 months.  They drove down from Ohio over two days and were ready to roll that very next morning.....very impressive!!!

Waiting for the start...

Off we go!

My Yeggs!

The park offered a really nice program with a whole "Children's Village" full of activities.  SpongeBob, Dora and Elmo were all there...but Kyla wanted nothing to do with them.  There were several inflatables setup as well as a stage with bands and magic scheduled throughout the day and a big bubble machine.  There were also booths with crafts, coloring and face painting.  Kyla and the girls got their faces painted.  Kyla was excited to have it done but clammed up when it was her turn.  She was very serious about it.

The Chelfs came back to our place afterwards and we hung out for the day, eating lunch and getting caught up.  Kyla was excited to have all the girls there...although she didn't act it at first.  She hadn't eaten a morsel all morning and was very crabby.  After filling her belly, she was more willing to share and play.  They had fun together, and she's talked a lot about them since their visit.
