Road Trip!!!

We took a family road trip north for a few weeks in July, splitting the time between family and friends in Ohio and Pennsylvania.  Our first stop was Columbus, ~ 15 hours driving from here.  We made it to Cave City, KY the first night and got into Columbus mid-afternoon the next day.

We stayed with my sister and her family for a few days. Aunt Leaf and Uncle John hadn't seen Kyla since our last visit two years ago....and we finally got to meet our nephew, Colin, who turned one in February.  He's so cute!!!  As you can probably tell from these pictures, he and Kyla resemble one another and almost look as though they could be brother and sister!

Driving lessons from Aunt Leaf

 The kids got along very well with one another.  They liked playing with each other's toys, too.  Kyla's favorite toy was the steps in their house.  She hasn't lived some place with steps inside yet, so this was a big deal.  She was up and down them....and Colin was right there with her!

Leslie and John hosted a cookout for us one day.  We were able to catch up with some friends.  The Lehmanns even came out from Dayton for a visit.  Here's a group shot of us with Jerry, Melissa, Jake and little Annie, who is due to make her appearance very soon!
After our visit in Columbus, we headed to Connellsville and spent some time with Grammy (Brent's mom).  I'll start a new page for those photos.
