| April Activities Home I have an assortment of shots from the end of April, which I'm posting here. Kyla had a good month. She's gotten into Pooh this month and enjoys his books and movie more. She likes to sing and will request certain songs and try to sing along with you. There hasn't been much action on the potty...she'll pee on it once in awhile, but not that often yet. We're still trying! It's been so nice to finally have an open, spacious kitchen that I can share with Kyla and not feel like we're stepping on one another. There's plenty of room for her to come in and "help" me while I'm cooking or working. We just bought an ice cream maker, too. That's been lots of fun for her to watch...and eat! |

Kyla's daily routine varies a bit but for the most part, she will wake up
at about 7:30-8am and play in her room for about an hour. I bring
her out for breakfast, which is usually pretty light, and she watches a
show while Mommy showers and gets ready for her day. We'll either
run an errand or do an activity or play outside. She'll have some
type of snack while we're out or finish the breakfast she started earlier.
Around 11:30, she eats lunch and will watch a show until it's naptime.
When she takes naps, they start between 1-2pm and run for about 2 hours.
After she wakes up, she has a snack and we play or take a walk until
dinner. She eats dinner around 6:30 (on days she's taken a nap) and
after that, it's time for her bath. We have a snack after her bath,
and she goes to bed around 8-8:30.
Kyla is pretty good at keeping herself busy and occupied, with exceptions of course. We joke that she must already know she will be an "only child"! The water table is still popular. The other day, I had to refill it three times during a play session. She was using it to fill every container and bucket she could find...as well as watering our flowers. |

| Her favorite activities are, of course, when she gets to "help" Mommy or Daddy. Yard work and gardening are two big ones. She follows her Daddy behind the lawnmower and has her own set of gardening gloves ('mittens') for helping in the flower beds. When sweeping up afterwards, she is right there with her shovel or rake and helps fill the bags. | |
