Kyla in July
Home

Kyla turned 22 months in July.  Two is right around the corner!  I wanted to get one last page posted with some July shots before we moved.

These pudding pictures were going to demonstrate how well she's doing with her utensils, but she hit her nose right away and it was a mess.

Messy Pudding

Kyla is talking a lot and will pretty much repeat and say anything.  She's saying sentences/phrases, too.  Some of her favorite phrases are  "open this", "all done now", "ok?", "where'd he go?", "oh-no!" and popular words are "yes", "touch", "dirty", "trash", and "potty".  She's using the potty a bit for peeing right now.  We're not pushing too hard because of the move - just offering and waiting to see what happens.

She rides the horse Grampap made her every day.  She still needs a bit of help getting on and off - but she can make it fly all by herself.  By the way, she made me put her to sleep that night in these sandals.  She was not going to take them off.

RIDING HER HORSE

As you can imagine, our home is a wreck as we prepare for our move. Lots of boxes packed but still lots more to do!  We're in contract for our condo sale and should close this week.  The movers will take our things Friday, and we're planning to hit the road right behind them.  If you're curious to our route, you can map it out from zip code 59718 to 70808.  We think it will take at least 4 days, but that could be way off because this is our first attempt at a 30 hour car drive with a toddler and 2 cats!  I plan to update the site after we arrive with some type of road log journal...unless the adventure is so scarring to us all that we wish to never be reminded of it again.  Wish us luck!
