Moving news and May shots
Home

It's official - we're moving!  Brent accepted a position in the Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University.  We're moving to Baton Rouge this summer.  We're looking forward to it - although we realize the weather will be quite an adjustment from Montana!  I'll try to keep the site updated with our progress.

Kyla turned 20 months the beginning of May and celebrated it with two babysitters - Mimi and Grammy.  Brent and I visited Baton Rouge, so both grandmothers flew out to babysit while we were gone.  With the exception of one other night, this was the first time I had been away from Kyla.  I think we both made it through fine.  Kyla kept the grandmothers hopping!  She tried an amazing array of new foods while we were gone, too. Rice crispie treats, ice cream snacks, ginger snaps, soda, pickle and ketchup were among them.

Yum! Spinach!

She doesn't get many ginger snaps from mommy!  Here are some shots of her eating spinach salad. Her favorite foods this month have been pears, grapes, and apples ("bap-ples").  Lunch is her biggest meal, and she loves her little bedtime snacks.

Kyla has been really good with the cats lately - although we still don't leave her alone with them.  You never know when she may get the urge to pull!  Doot is her favorite.  She puts up with everything.  Chovie has started hanging out more.  Kyla gets very excited when she's allowed to pet her.

Doot-doo, it's for you!

"Is this guy crazy or what?!?"

She started watching TV over the past month or so.  She likes Sesame Street and Elmo ("Mel-mo").  It's been fun to watch with her because she'll sign what she sees and it gives me a chance to teach her new words.
