| Kyla at 18 Months Home I can't believe my baby is now a toddler who will be two before I know it! She's been getting into imaginary play lately. She started by feeding her dolls and animals (and me, of course!). She then moved on to putting us all to sleep. They put her on a mat at daycare and will pat her to sleep if necessary. After she gets a good dose of this, she likes to bring it home and try it on us all. I picked up a couple new toys this month to try to encourage her with this type of play - and to maybe give her a playmate besides me:) |

Here she is playing with her
new Weebles house. She was playing like such a big girl, putting
them in their chairs and making them go down the slide. You may note
that she is not wearing pants. I was not allowed to put them back on
after her nap - that is, until about an hour later when they were
presented to me for assistance. This girl knows just what she wants!
I got her this little purse for the same reason. It holds pretend accessories like lipstick and a mirror. She's been all over it. |

I have a small table and chairs coming for her. I think she'll enjoy eating her snacks on it and using it for artwork. They eat at a regular table and chair at daycare, so she tries to copy that here. She likes to climb up on things to eat. She climbed up here to share a snack with her buddy Chovie. She's still doing well with the cats - although I'd kinda like to see them move out of the way a little quicker! Speed it up, girls! |
