More January Shots...
Home

Daddy is still gone, so I thought I'd squeeze in another update.  He misses his little girl a bunch!

Kyla is still a bundle of energy and ready for any activity.  The report from daycare is that she's very willful and determined for her age.  She lets them know exactly what she wants to do and where she wants to go - and if that's not acceptable, she lets them know that, too!  She's also outgoing - up for trying anything new.

I took her for a checkup last week.  This was her 18 month checkup - but I had it early because she needed a shot for daycare.  Her doctor thought she was doing great.  She is now 23.5lbs (65th percentile) and 32" (50th percentile).  Her head is just a little pinhead - 10th percentile!  She said that's not unusual as parts hit growth spurts at different times.  She doesn't look disproportionate either.  Because of her skull fracture/dent at birth, we'll revisit it at her two year visit if necessary.

As you can see to the right, Kyla still loves her baskets!  No matter the size or shape, she likes to put herself in them and jump around.  This basket was filled with about 50 little socks before she dumped them out to make her dance floor!

Kyla in a basket!

Pancakes and Blueberries!

We've tried a couple new foods since my last update. Over the weekend, we did pancakes with blueberries sprinkled on top.  She's also starting to like eggs more.

I've been "tricking" her into eating some items by hiding them in these "mashed potato muffins".  So far, she's gobbling them up!
