Meet the newest addition to our family - Chovie!  We picked her up from the Humane Society on Saturday (7/12).  She was 13 weeks old and only 2.5 pounds. We were really impressed with the local Humane Society.  The staff was great and all of the cats seemed well care for and happy.

Yes...she lets me hold her like a baby!

She was named Chovie by her foster home.  It's a silly little name but it's grown on us.  I think we're going to keep it - although we've tossed around the middle name of Anne.

It's really funny to us how much BIGGER the Doot looks now that there's a kitten around.  We always thought she was small!

Believe it or not, we actually had to go on a "kitten waiting list" at the shelter.  They had a bunch of them in foster care but none were old enough to spay.  We waited about two weeks.  There were many very nice adults there, but we were afraid that another older would be a threat to Doot.  As you can see here, she wasn't too thrilled with this one right away.  She hid under the bed and slinked around for a bit.  She's getting more tolerant each day.  We're giving her a lot of extra attention.

Hey!

Who said only kittens
can have fun?!?

We were very happy to see
that she's gotten a good
head start on her bad habits.
This was taken "Day Two".

I've posted another page of pictures, but beware......
these photos are for extreme cat lovers only.
If you are just a casual fan of the feline,
