Wanaka
January 10th

Today was definitely a highlight of the trip - a visit to "Puzzling World".  I read about this place and had been waiting for it.  It contains an outdoor maze and a bunch of stuff inside to see.  I couldn't stop laughing in the Illusion room.

Brent on bridge
Seriously - we laughed our way through this thing. It was a blast.  We were to make our way through the maze to each of the four corners and then back to the start.  Sounds easy enough, right?  Well, it takes on average from 30 minutes to an hour.  It took us 52 minutes - and we were trying like hell!
Brent kept busting little kids that were sneaking under the fences.  He was calling them cheaters - and they'd look at him all scared and take off.  We saw a bunch of people bail and use the emergency doors.  We even ended up using the lookout towers to figure out our next move!

There were puzzles at the cafe tables,
so we did those for awhile, too.

Above you see the amazing Brent defy gravity....just how does he do it?!?

After our puzzling experience, we headed off to the Cromwell orchards for some fruit and did the Mt. Iron walk on the way back.

Mt. Iron just happens to be across the street from Puzzling World, so I had to take a shot of that!
It had been raining on and off all day and even though our walk was dry, the sky was still a bit hazy.  This is a view off Mt. Iron (549m/~1800ft) of Mt. Aspiring National Park.  This is on our agenda for tomorrow.
