Napier
December 11th

We've only been in Napier an afternoon now and love it already.  It's known for it's art deco architecture and proximity to the Hawkes Bay wine region.  

It's a neat little place right on the Pacific.  The water is just beautiful - an odd color of blue-green.
We're scheduled to go on the bike wine tour tomorrow - but so far, we're having trouble scheduling transportation there.  We're staying in Napier and the tour leaves from Hastings, which is about 20 minutes away.  If it doesn't work it - it doesn't work out. There's plenty to do here - but the staff here are going to try to help us out as best they can.
