The Catlins
January 6th

This was our last day driving through The Catlins.  We headed south first to hit Bluff.  Bluff is known locally as "Land's End of NZ", even though it's really not the southernmost point.
Of course, we had to get our picture taken next to the sign:)

Bluff is the departure point for Stewart Island, NZ's third island.  We looked into taking this ferry for a day trip but it just didn't seem to make sense financially.  Besides, there are a lot of walks on the island and a day trip hardly seemed worth it.  Instead, we took a coastal walk along the bush and headed north to Te Anau for the night.
