Auckland
December 6th and 7th

It's been a rainy two days in Auckland.  We've been told that last week was beautiful, so we think it has something to do with us:)  It's worked out fine though because we've used these days to recuperate from our travel (and illnesses).

Auckland is very much like a big city in the States.  We're staying downtown, right in the heart of the city center.  Our hotel room is very small but not uncomfortable.

Our first stop was the Auckland library...I wonder why?

The controversial One World team

In between downpours, we took a walk down to the harbor.  I didn't realize it until my cab driver told me, but the America's Cup trials are going on now.  (Duh!) We grabbed a little lunch and hob-nobbed with the sailing elite.

As you can see below, it was a windy day.

On the walk back, I couldn't resist taking this shot for my baby........
